Bulletin Boards: #2getherwearebetter

Today I am linking up with:
Schroeder Shenanigans In 2nd

to talk about bulletin boards! Now, I don't know about you, but I LOATHE bulletin boards. Once they're up, they're up. I don't change them throughout the year, I only add to them. I have three in my room, one large one, and two smaller ones (4x4 maybe).
This is the BIG guy! The background is just packing paper from the dollar store (3M brand!). I got the believe bunting from the dollar spot at Target! On this board I will put student work up! Last year I glued thumb tacks to clothes pins, and each kiddo got a clip. This way they could change out their work anytime they wanted! It made the kids proud to show off their good work to the class and other visitors.
This is my calendar bulletin board (obviously). This is where we spend a little but of our morning aquatinting ourselves with the days of the week and the weather. In the blank space we will write out the date both ways.
Now in the past, I have used the third bulletin board to post reading skills and strategy posters. I think that is what I will do this year on this board again, but I am not sure. I might do a student of the week here too! I have FOUR HUGE windows in my room this year, so I could always post the skills posters on there too.

Those are my bulletin boards in a nutshell. Nothing fancy, but hey, they're up waiting for student work! I much believe in a student decorated classroom, but for that I need students!
Link up with Ashley at Schroeder's Shenanigans in 2nd and tell us all about your bulletin boards!
